Sample Holders
Our chip carriers work with our sample holder that has multiple shielded coaxial outputs that can be reconfigured to any pad. This allows you to have multiple devices prepared on the same chip carrier. In-situ current-voltage sweeps, backgating, and sample biasing is possible using the shielded electrical contacts. The sample holder can be adapted with almost any SEM. We can also design a custom solution that fits your specific needs.
Hybrid Cross Sectional and Plain-view Stage
Our most versatile stage for viewing exposed junctions in cross section and plain-view devices. Mount sample to the chip carrier with our conductive epoxy wire-bonder kit and it can be positioned at flat or 90 degrees to the SEM objective. This chip carrier is ideal for larger samples and devices such as solar cells or discrete semiconductor devices. With up to eight electrical connections at a time multiple devices can be mounted. The top and bottom connections are multiplexed and attached to MMCX connectors, providing shielding to the feedthrough. We have adapters designed for all of the major SEM manufacturers.
Cryostat compatible sample holders and chip carriers
Our Cryo-EBIC sample holders that can be used at liquid nitrogen and liquid helium temperatures available in both aluminum and gold plated oxygen free copper. Samples are thermally connected with thermal grade diamond and electrically isolated. Both planar and cross-sectional inserts are available.
Load-Lock Compatible Stages
JEOL compatible load lock for cross-sectional and planar inserts. Utilizing and internal PCB with an edge connector it is easy to quickly swap samples and maintain a low noise electrical contact.
FEI Docking Station Insert
Designed to fit inside FEI HELIOS and Magellan and other SEMS and dual beam systems this stage provides cross-sectional imaging of devices.
Custom Chip Carriers
We have designed custom chip carriers for a wide range of device and applications. We can easily design one or several that meets your requirements. The application have ranged from Cryo-EBIC to optical and SPM applications.
